PC gamers have been waiting patiently for the release of Resident Evil 6, and now there’s at least a little added bonus for their troubles. Resident Evil 6 has a PC release date (US) of Friday March 22, 2013. It will also include an exclusive mode called The Mercenaries: No Mercy. According to Capcom, No Mercy provides a much greater challenge than the original version, allowing more enemies on screen at the same time.
Included features (previous console patches) include Ada Wong’s campaign plus co-op partner, and a feature enabling in-game camera tuning. Residentevil.net will also be accessible through the PC game, a small but notable perk. Resident Evil 6 fans will also get a free benchmark test, which will be arriving sometime in February. This will allow PC gamers to test how their game will perform on their systems.
Siege is a questionably fun mode where a rookie BSAA agent (NPC) gets himself into trouble. The mode allows players to assume a role as either a creature fixing to eat the rookie or as a fellow BSAA member who will try everything they can to stop that from happening. Here is hoping Siege’s star rookie isn’t the typical helpless A.I. or else the BSAA team is in for a long night of cursing and rage quits. Players will be able to access this online mode in two to six player groups, which will be divided between the creatures and the agents. This mode will be available for PS3 ($3.99) and 360 (320MSP) download in March as well.
It should be noted that Survivors, Predator and Onslaught DLC will be available for PlayStation 3 owners this February at $3.99 a piece. All four post launch game add on modes – Survivors, Predator, Onslaught and Siege – will be available for PC owners to download and purchase shortly after March 22.
The digital version of Resident Evil 6 PC will be available for $39.00
