Not only is it set for release on February 13 in North America, EA has announced a brand new web series by “From Hell” director Albert Hughes titled The Seven Wonders of Crysis 3, which sets the stage for Crytek’s latest installment.
The series will introduce the brand new weapons, enemies, locations and new mechanics the latest title will provide. Hughes has reportedly been “intimately involved” with the series, going as far as experementing with the upcoming CryEngine 3.
With the release of the first Crysis in 2007, it pushed boundaries with its highly detailed environments and open world gameplay, which allowed the player to immerse themselves however they please. With EA’s help in the marketing, Crysis became a success, and other developers began to take notice. Crysis 2 may not have been the second coming many PC gamers were hoping for, but it reintroduced the series to a much broader audience, many of whom are excited for the next sequel. Will the latest Crysis be as epic as many of us hope? We have to wait a while to see, and we’ll be bringing you updates along the way.
